New Delhi, May 11: You must have heard of the ongoing battle between telecoms offering free data. However, Micromax launched a 2017 edition 'Canvas 2' smartphone. Priced at Rs 11,999, the device is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz processor paired up with 3GB of RAM and has internal memory of 16GB that can be expanded up to 64GB.The device is the first smartphone in its price segment with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
"Our partnership with Corning has also helped us make 'Canvas 2', the first smartphone to offer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in its price segment. We expect 'Canvas 2' to yet again set a bench mark and revolutionise the overall smartphone adoption," Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax Informatics, told reporters here.
The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels at a PPI of 196 pixels per inch. Micromax Canvas 2 A110 price in India starts from Rs. 10,000.
The Micromax Canvas 2 A110 is powered by 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM. The phone packs 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Micromax Canvas 2 A110 packs a 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Micromax Canvas 2 A110 runs Android 4.0 and is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery. It measures 147.00 x 76.50 x 9.70 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 168.00 grams.
The Micromax Canvas 2 A110 is a dual SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts Regular and Regular. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and 3G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor and Accelerometer.
