Xiaomi , also know as "Apple of China" is currently making headlines because of thier tweet about launching of their new smartphone in India.
After the success of it's Redmi 4A which was launched in March , Company is planning to launch another phone. Although, they haven't made any claims regarding the launch of a new smartphone but it's expected that it will bring XIAOMI REDMI 4 and XIAOMI REDMI 4 PRIME to the country. They have only tweeted that they will launch a new smartphone.
Since , the tweet isn't mentioning the date and name of the model they might launch. So it's launching date is unexpected.
Furthermore, Xiaomi India's VP Manu Jain also tweeted that this would be the second biggest announcement this month. This means that the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime would be announced before the end of this month only.
In China , the price of Redmi 4 is CNY 699 (roughly 6,990 and Redmi 4 prime price is CNY (roughly 8,990) .
To recap on the specifications, the Redmi 4 bears a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel camera, 16GB of inbuilt storage, and a 4100mAh battery. In comparison, the Redmi 4 Prime sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage, and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity. Apart from this, all other specifications match the Redmi 4. Both the smartphones run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
